Beechwood Harvest

In addition to the MANY beautiful, bright red strawberries in the garden, we had lettuce, kale, radishes, herbs and flowers to harvest as well! Families enjoyed the first ever family fun day, featuring our own "Farm Stand" of freshly student-picked, Beechwood garden grown items as well as outdoor activities everyone can enjoy!  Many thanks to our volunteers for this bountiful experience.

Field Day 2026

We couldn't have had a better day, weather-wise, and Mr. Gormly outdid himself in planning patriotic-themed activity stations for the WHOLE school to participate at the same time! Thank you also to all the staff, PTO, and parent volunteers who helped to facilitate a safe and fun time for our Bears! They all got to put their athletic skills and even more importantly, their teamwork and spirit into the day.

Art Show 2026

Mrs. Sterba did a beautiful job filling our hallways with her students' works of art.  Families walked through our gallery with their children proudly showing off their masterpieces.   What a wonderful way to showcase everyone's hard work and creative talents.

Spring Concert

Thank you to Mr. Mikula for putting together great performances with our Beechwood Bears.  Each grade sang to a packed house, making us all proud to be a Bear in the process.  Great job!

Mural in the Garden

The amazingly talented art club students from Deerfield came to Beechwood's garden to paint a spectacular mural along with some talented Beechwood Bears.  Thank you to Mrs. Sterba and other volunteers who brought this vision to life.  What a beautiful addition to the garden that can be enjoyed for years to come!

Liberty Science Center

From the giant Hoberman Sphere at the entrance to the 80 foot Touch Tunnel, Suspended Infinity Climber, interactive STEM stations and more, the field trip was a super fun and educational trip for our science-minded, curiosity filled 2nd graders!

Imagine That!

Imagine That! has dozens of exhibits that allowed our Bears to have hands on, play-based learning experiences with real-world community places like a grocery store, fire station, construction zone, arts & crafts studio, a huge play structure and more! It was a perfect complement to learning about community helpers!

Dinosaurs at Beechwood!

Our youngest students enjoyed an in-house "field trip" experience! There were sandboxes for "fossil" digging and about a dozen incredibly life-like dinosaurs for the students to interact with. As they explored, the presenters shared fun facts about each type of dinosaur. What an AMAZING experience we all enjoyed!

Heart Challenge

We are excited to announce the launch of our fundraising campaign to support the American Heart Association! This will be Beechwood's 5th consecutive year participating in the Kids Heart Challenge.
